  • Older travelers

They changed us from a smoking room to a non-smoking room when one became available. We had requested a non-smoking room when we made the reservations. They allowed us to check in before 3:00 p.m.

It is in severe need of remodeling. The sinks were cracked, broken and rusted out. The room was dirty. The thermostat was broken. The sheets were ripped. The price was inflated from regular rates due to high demand for the sporting event being held in town.

  • Older travelers

Older hotel badly in need of repair, updating, cleaning.

  • Single

Very old and shabby, walls poorly patched, parking lot pitted, weeds everywhere, doors rickety, carpets worn and dirty.

  • Group of friends

The price and location were great. The staff was very friendly and professional. We made some last minute changes on our room arrangements and they were able to easily accomodate our request. The room and other areas of the hotel were very clean. It was also quiet.

The facility does have some cosmetic issues. For instance the grout in the tub/shower area was stained. However it was very clean which is more important. Also the continental breakfast was a little sparse.

    The staff was friendly

The whole place was not as advertised, very run down facility. Made me question the cleanliness of the whole place.Trash outside, not working pool or hot tub which was advertised

  • Family with children

I just rested there after a long drive. The beds were clean but the hotel was a little run down. The owner was doing all the reception, bookkeeping and some of the cooking!

Bathroom needed a makeover and the hallways needed fixing up. Owner was nice but very exhausted from not sleeping much in 2 days. She had to run everything there by herself.

  • Older travelers

Needs work. The pool and hot tub were not working, you could not access wifi from the room and the was mildew around the bathtub.

  • Family with children

    Great value hotel

The pool wasnt filled that is why we had picked it and the hot tub wasnt working either.

    Easy access from interstate

    Unannounced pet charge at checkout.

  • Single

    It was cheap

The rooms looked run down and all the advertised facilities were down.

I liked how close the Inn was to the interstate, a gas station, and a nice restuarant.

I had read many of the reviews but felt oh it can't be that bad. I was wrong. Please do not go here if you are a female traveler alone or traveling with young children, I would, also, extend this to elderly. Almost none of the safety lights surrounding this building are working so they expect you to park in the complete dark and walk to your room. These are old "key" doors so the entry doors are never locked, anyone can walk into this hotel. None of the ice machines, or soda/candy machines work...which is interesting because they still provide you with the ice bucket. The pool clearly hasn't been used for a long time, nor the hot tub. This place is seriously run down. I can handle old, I don't need 5 star for 8 hours of sleep, but this place was just very very bad. The heating units were falling off the walls, the a/c wouldn't run normally and the lady at the front desk had a limited ability of English. I was not offered a receipt and when I asked for one I got a blank look. I gave up on getting one. The contenental breakfast is 3 kinds of cereal and either muffins or bagels. The waffle maker wasn't working either. Sadly, there was no milk available for the cereal...not sure how that works out. I took pictures of my room but I am not sure how to put them up, showing the heater falling off the wall, showing the curtains barely hanging up, showing the blinds tore up and not replaced. Huge cracks in the concrete so if you are unstable on your feet please be careful. My mother uses a cane and I would not ever allow her to stay here. I know that the booking price of just over $50 isn't a ton of money, but in this case you do not get what you pay for. Locks on the door are the old chain ones. I honestly did not feel safe, but had no problems throughout the night. There is a Hotel 8 right next door, and a Motel 6 across the street....I Suggest both of those. At least their safety lights all work.

  • Older travelers

The hotel staff was friendly. The room was clean.

Everything was out of order- the pool, hot tub, wireless internet for rooms, the waffle maker, the apple juice dispenser, the soda machine. The air conditioning unit would freeze up and had to be turned off to thaw. Not fun in 80 degree weather.

  • Older travelers

    Price and clean no frills.

The breakfast was poor at best. The pool and spa non working. A great steak house had been turned into a Korean BBQ and sushi bar. It is shabby from the street with paint pealing and gutters broken.

  • Older travelers

I was a little apprehensive when driving up and entering the lobby, but when we got to our room, I was very impressed. The room was large and very clean. The bathroom was spotless. We didn't hear any noise outside of our room. The beds were very comfortable. The continental breakfast was sparce, but we enjoyed the waffles. I definitely will stay here again!

  • Older travelers

There were rooms available for the regular seasonal rates, when everything around had raised their rates because of a popular event (Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo) in the area. It is also situated right beside the interstate highway, so is easy to find.

The property is poorly maintained - the outdoor pool is dry and surrounded by dried up dead weeds. The indoor hot-tub is empty and a "temporarily out of service" hangs on the door to the room. The lobby bathrooms had "out-of-service" signs. The breakfast room was dingy and there was a very meagre selection. Our room was not made up one of the 3 days - we were told it was because the card was hanging on the door. The card said "Maid Service Please" or similar - it shouldn't have prevented service. The room itself is furnished and carpeted in dark colours (with the exception of sheets and towels, which although mis-matched, appeared clean. There was no way to tell if the bedspread, carpet, furniture, etc., was clean, and judging from everything else around, I expect it likely was not. The furniture was old and battered, with the finish gone of the tops of the partical-board dresser and bedside table.
